Synopsis
Nobita, determined to prove the Monkey King's existence, travels back in time with Doraemon to the era of Sanzo's pilgrimage. Using a virtual video game console, Doraemon allows Nobita to play "Journey to The West" and dress like the Monkey King. Nobita's initial attempt to prove the Monkey King's existence fails. After finishing the game without fighting any demons, Nobita and his friends discover their world is now ruled by them. The cause? Doraemon left the game console open in the past, allowing the demons to escape. Now, Doraemon and the others must return to the past and enter the game to vanquish the demons and save their world.
