For most of his life, fourteen-year-old diver Tomoki Sakai has spent his time looking up — literally — at his senior Yoichi Fujitani, the kind of effortlessly talented athlete who makes everything look easy. Tomoki's been grinding at the Mizuki Diving Club since he was a kid, but now the whole club is on the verge of shutting down. Their sponsors are pulling out unless someone from this small-town club can produce an Olympic-caliber diver within a single year.
