The pacing here is intense. It wasn't rushed, yet every second felt increasingly heavy. The anime showed that true success lies in fighting until the very end and continuing to grow as both an athlete and a person.
Things got serious right away in this episode because it’s the final stage, so they’re giving it their all. It’s like they’re saying, I need to do a great job and take this seriously, or else I’m out.
This was so exciting and the different forms were so amazing. There’s some emotional impact and that adds more spice to this. Though, I have some questions that I feel are unanswered but it was an ‘okay’ feel for this ending. The end was heartwarming for me.
Oh my gosh Ryo!! This feels like seeing an ex. Kudos to Yoichi va too, I can feel the emotions and the switch up of tone. And it’s also getting more exciting. The end left me speechless and idk what to feel for Yoichi.
In this episode, the emotional tone is quiet yet tense. It isn't dramatic in terms of dialogue; rather, the atmosphere itself carries the weight as if there’s a constant reminder of a higher level that needs to be reached.
I’m gonna be all sad if that’s really gonna happen. Also, I wanna hug Yoichi so badly because let's be honest nobody’s gonna do that these days. It’s more on the dialogue side but it sets the mood going and the last part was kinda heartwarming.
The episode flows well because it isn't limited to just conversation or pure action. There is a balance between moments of quiet practice and scenes focused on rigorous training, resulting in a more natural progression.
The movements are clean and the transitions smooth, making even a simple dive satisfying to watch. The overall quality is consistent, too, so you won't be disappointed.
Despite the slow pacing, the animation remains excellent especially in the diving scenes and the subtle facial expressions that convey the characters' emotions.
This mostly focuses on Yoichi. It’s emotional for me and made me realize some things in the sports industry. I also get where Kayoko comes from and it actually makes sense to me.
It was refreshing and it's like a change of scenery. The animation effects were really good for me. I really like the color effects and the sunset. Yoichi was pretty funny too. But, the last half got me emotional, especially the little lore.
I feel a little bit bittersweet from all the things happening. But what gets me the most is the trio. I feel like some things are going to change tho idk if it's for good. And I got to see some improvements on Shibuki this time.
Finallyyyy!!! This is the one that I've been waiting for. It's kinda thrilling and amazing to see different forms. I like that one transition animation, the color gradient was so beautiful the sunset really adds the factor to it. But I can't help but laugh at Yamada, he's just so funny to me even if he's not doing anything.
I feel like the pacing is getting slow. It's focusing more on growth and development but I wanted to see some actions and them competing. Kinda relieved at the first half but the end got me feeling conflicted and it was such a cliffhanger.
The 4 new guys were really unhinged. Yamada was just straight unserious and hilarious. This got me excited to see new forms, it's pretty and amazing. The last part got me thinking because I believe that every action and effort has consequences. I think someone could understand me if they watched the ep 2.
I feel a bit emotional with the little lore with Yoichi. That's kinda unexpected for me. I also realized that something's going to change and gonna feel different when you're trying to achieve something. You're gonna lose things or anything that's important to you. Well anyway, the end was kinda a cliffhanger for me.
I liked how the episode showed the divers' different reactions to the pressure. Some fought it, some doubted themselves, and some tried to hide their fear. This made the story more realistic and made it easier to understand what each character was going through.
While this may not be the most action packed episode, it is one of the most important parts of the story. I became more attached to the characters and more eager to see how they would overcome these problems.
The excitement intensifies with each training and rivalry, and you feel like this is just the beginning of even more difficult trials.
It shows that talent alone is not enough; perseverance, discipline, and intense training are also required. The episode also gave a clearer picture of how fierce the competition in diving is.
