Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation: Episode of Octavinelle
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Working a dead-end part-time delivery job at a Chinese restaurant in Wakayama, Yuuta Mito's life changed forever when a black horse-drawn carriage literally ran into him and dropped him in another world. Now he's stuck at Night Raven College, a magic academy where he's the only student with zero magical ability — which is about as comfortable as it sounds. This ONA covers the Octavinelle arc, where things get interesting. Octavinelle is one of the school's dormitories, themed around The Little Mermaid's Ursula, and its leader Azul Ashengrotto has a habit of making deals that seem too good to be true. Yuuta and his small crew — Ace, Deuce, and a chaotic little creature named Grim — get pulled into Azul's web, and figuring out what he's really after becomes the central mystery. The character designs are by Yana Toboso, who did Black Butler, and you can feel that DNA in every frame — sharp, elegant, a little sinister. The vibe is dark fantasy with a school setting, where Disney villain lore gets twisted into something genuinely moody. If you liked the aesthetic and intrigue of Black Butler or the magic school dynamics of Blue Exorcist, this scratches a similar itch. It's not trying to be epic or action-heavy — it's more about atmosphere, scheming characters, and watching a powerless protagonist navigate a world that wasn't built for him.
