Detective Conan: The Gold-Star Answer

Jewelry store robberies are hitting the city one after another, and Conan is on the case — but his friend Ayumi is less interested in the crime and more excited that the robberies look exactly like something out of her favorite magical girl show. She's convinced a real PreCure is about to show up. Conan, being the logical ten-year-old detective he is, finds this completely unreasonable. Then Cure Answer actually appears, and suddenly the case gets a lot harder to explain rationally. This is a one-episode TV special that leans hard into the comedy of those two things colliding — a grounded mystery procedural and a full magical girl crossover. The tone is light, a little silly, and genuinely fun if you have any affection for either genre. If you grew up watching Pretty Cure or know the franchise at all, there's obvious appeal here. If you're a longtime Detective Conan fan who's followed the manga or the long-running TV series, it's a fun detour that doesn't take itself too seriously. And if you've ever enjoyed Magic Kaito for that same mix of theatrical flair and mystery setup, this hits a similar note. It's not trying to be a landmark episode — it's a short, cheerful crossover that TMS Entertainment clearly had fun making. Sometimes that's exactly what you want.
