📖 SYNOPSIS
Ever thought about who actually builds the traps in a demon lord's castle? Not the demon lord himself — he's busy being menacing on his throne. No, there's a whole department of underlings doing R&D on slime that dissolves armor (and clothes), tentacle contraptions, and whatever else might slow down the next band of heroes. Ma no Mono-tachi wa Kuwadateru is basically a workplace comedy set inside a demon organization, following Lord Pity Trap and his crew as they brainstorm, prototype, and deploy increasingly ridiculous ways to humiliate adventurers. The twist is that Pity Trap literally draws his magical power from human embarrassment, so the traps have to be degrading by design. It's less about epic battles and more about office politics, budget constraints, and coworkers arguing over whether the tentacle trap needs more tentacles.
The vibe is lighthearted and lewd in a goofy way — think ecchi played for laughs rather than fanservice for its own sake. If you enjoyed Miss Kuroitsu from the Monster Development Department, this is hitting a very similar note with its "evil organization as mundane workplace" angle. Fans of Those Who Hunt Elves might also appreciate the shameless clothing-destruction gags. Studio TNK is handling production, which tracks given their comfort zone with ecchi comedy. It's a chill, dumb-fun watch about demons who take their jobs way too seriously while doing something inherently absurd.
