Synopsis
A powerful necromancer known as the Corpse God dies during a legendary battle, only to be reborn as Polka Shinoyama, a young boy in modern-day Tokyo. In the process of trying to adapt to his new physical body, he gets targeted by various groups that deal with the supernatural. Among them is Misaki Sakimiya, a high school girl who can see spirits and is out for his blood from the very moment they meet. Attempting to make sense of this situation where unknown parties want him dead, Polka eventually meets Takumi Kuruya, a contractor skilled in surveillance and hacking, and Lisa Kuraki, a crime boss operating out of Shinjuku. Alongside these—and other unexpected—allies, Polka braves danger to reveal the truth of his reincarnation and the fate awaiting the world he now lives in.

It's quite refreshing to see a reverse Isekai story, where a fantasy character enters the modern world setting. Especially through the perspective of the so called villain. For a dark themed story, it has plenty of comedic and quirky scenes that made it fun to watch.
I like the plot progression and cliffhanger bait at the end, but I feel this as a weak episode. It emphasizes the conspiracy, but not strong enough to truly explore the details. Let's hope the 2nd cour would be epic, so that it serves a great bridge to more complex storyline
Once the plot of Solitaire starts to deepen by showing the more serious sides of Iwanome and Arase, I'm sold. I always like a story with multiple layers of plots underneath, and this is one of them. Also, there'll be progress on the side of Polka's family you don't want to miss.
Plot wise, the grip of this episode is getting tighter. There is a complex intersection between Corpse God's past life, Phantom Solitaire, Hosorogi, the cops, and also Polka's family. However, it can be a bit boring since the plot is relatively slow. But it gets better I promise
Okay, I know the pace is still a bit slow, but I'm on edge seeing how much progress the cops are making with Polka and where their findings are heading. Not to mention the shenanigans of new characters with catchy background music, I think it's more than just performative
I've to admit this ep is a bit boring. Wth the lack of plot's progress, I believe it's safe to skip this. However, keep going if you like the details of how Corpse God's perceived by Shinoyama family and moments the cops have started to put two and two together.
My goodness, I didn't expect the story will go THAT way. This ep truly plants future issues by unexpected plot, and the intensity has just started. Beyond the complexities of familial relationships, I love the emotional touch between Polka and his father.
Compared to two previous eps, this might feel a little bit slow. However, it's a great approach to dedicate an episode exploring Polka's family and showing a more serious side of Misaki. Here, the tense lies in the depth of the conversation, so it's best not to skip this one
