📖 SYNOPSIS
Day Break Illusion is a dark magical girl anime that follows 12‐year-old Akari Taiyo, an aspiring fortune teller who inherits her late mother's tarot card deck and mystical abilities. One night, Akari dreams of being attacked by a plant monster and sees a stronger version of herself vanquish it. To her horror, she later discovers that the monster was actually Fuyuna, though mysteriously, neither she nor her family remembers Fuyuna ever existed. Following another close encounter with a similar creature, she is rescued by three magical girls —Ginka Shirokane, Seira Hoshikawa, and Luna Tsukuyomi, who reveal they are part of the Sefiro Fiore organization that uses Elemental Tarot power to combat the evil Daemonia. Akari soon learns that she too is a magical girl, inheriting her mother's power of The Sun card. However, when she discovers that the Daemonia are possessed humans, she must choose whether to save what remains of their humanity or eradicate them completely. As she comes to terms with her grim duty, the bonds within Sefiro Fiore and among her team begin to strain under the weight of both external threats and internal conflicts.
