Dandadan Season 1 is a triumph. It takes a premise that sounds like a joke and turns it into something genuinely special. The animation is stunning, the soundtrack is iconic, and the characters—especially Momo and Okarun—are impossible not to root for.

The finale is the weakest part of the season. Ending on a cliffhanger involving sexual assault, with a six-month wait for resolution, was a frustrating choice that drew valid criticism . But even with that misstep, Season 1 remains one of the most entertaining and emotionally resonant anime in recent memory.
