Daisuki na Mama

A dedicated single mom doing her best to be a stable, loving presence for her son Yutaka — she cooks, she cleans, she keeps the household running — picture a wholesome domestic life. Then Masato enters the picture. He's Yutaka's friend, which already makes this uncomfortable, and he has zero respect for the boundaries that come with that. What starts as an unsettling intrusion into Miyuki's home escalates quickly, pulling the story into increasingly tense and taboo territory — in the kitchen, the bathroom, and places where she has almost no way to resist without everything falling apart around her. This 2-episode OVA from T-Rex, based on a web manga, leans hard into the moral discomfort of the situation. The character designs are detailed and expressive, and the domestic setting makes the tension feel grounded rather than abstract. It doesn't shy away from the emotional conflict Miyuki carries throughout — she's not a flat character, which gives the story more weight than you might expect from the genre. If you've seen Ane wa Yanmama Junyuu-chuu or Okaa-san no Untenshu and appreciated how those handled similar domestic drama setups, this sits comfortably in that same space. Haha Sange fans would also find the tone familiar.
