Coppelion

Synopsis
At first glance, Ibara Naruse and her friends Aoi Fukasaku and Taeko Nomura look like average, carefree high school students. But the streets they walk on, their destination, and their surroundings are anything but normal. As they continue forward, the trio find themselves stepping deeper into an uninhabitable version of Tokyo, one that has been ravaged by a nuclear disaster 20 years ago. As part of the Dispatch 3rd Special Force Coppelion, known as the Health Care team, Ibara, Aoi, and Taeko are supported by the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) and Colonel Onihei Mishima as they scour the eerily silent streets for survivors. Finding the last remaining humans and having them evacuated by the JGSDF's helicopters is a daily occurrence for the girls. But as their work progresses, Ibara and her friends start to question their own humanity—namely, how they themselves are able to survive in Tokyo without any protective gear.

What a bittersweet finale 😢😢 Seeing Ibara and everyone finally getting a moment to breathe felt weirdly emotional after everything. The series isn’t perfect, but I genuinely liked how hopeful it still tried to feel despite all the sadness. Definitely left me sitting there like… wow 😭
Yeah… this one almost got tears out of me 🥹 Shion and Kanon made this episode way more emotional than I expected, and Ibara being Ibara just hurt my feelings more somehow. I really liked how the story handled emotion here without becoming overly dramatic. Beautiful but painful episode 💔
Haruto seriously had me stressed!!! The action was intense, but somehow the quieter emotional moments hit harder for me. Aoi’s development here felt really satisfying without feeling forced, and the whole episode had this constant “please let everyone be okay” energy🥹
The amusement park setting looked strangely cool while everything was going completely wrong.. Ibara really shines here, and seeing Aoi slowly push herself made me root for her even harder. I liked the pacing of this episode too, tense but never overwhelming. Definitely kept me glued to the screen 😮😮
Why was this episode SO stressful 😭 Between the train situation, the approaching danger, and everything happening at once, I was lowkey panicking for them. Somehow the chaos still felt easy to follow, which I appreciated. Also, Taeko being Taeko added a tiny bit of warmth in all that tension 🥹
The Ozu Sisters showing up instantly changed the vibe 😶 Kanon and Shion brought this creepy tension that made me uncomfortable in the best way possible. I also liked how the plot started revealing darker truths little by little. This episode made the story feel sadder than I expected…
Not gonna lie, this episode quietly hurt 💔 Seeing everyone react after Ibara’s situation made the emotional weight feel very real. Haruto honestly stood out here too, doing everything he could when things got serious, while Aoi’s guilt felt painfully human. No huge flashy moments needed, the emotions carried this one 🥹
Okay… Aoi made me wanna protect her this episode. Things suddenly became way more personal, and the danger felt intense from the start. I liked how the story shifted into a more desperate situation without losing the emotional side. Definitely one of the episodes that kept me nervous the whole time.
This episode genuinely got me emotional 😭😭 Watching Ibara protect a father and his daughter in the middle of such chaos felt surprisingly touching. The plot here reminds you there’s still humanity left even in terrible situations. Stressful episode for sure, but also warm somehow 🤧
Things suddenly get darker here... Ibara and the team uncovering the truth behind the crash made everything feel way heavier. The ruined sunset visuals were honestly pretty stunning… but sad in a weird way 😢😢
Denjiro Shiba instantly made this episode more emotional than I expected.. The story starts asking deeper questions about guilt, science, and humanity. Plus the soundtrack during the tense moments? Lowkey underrated!!!
This episode somehow feels warm and tense at the same time!! The search for little Miku kept me hooked, while Ibara keeps showing why she’s best girl. The ruined hotel vibe was so unsettling… but emotional too???
Coppelion starts emotionally strong. Seeing Ibara, Aoi, and Taeko walking through ruined Tokyo with dystopian colors feels eerie but oddly beautiful?? The silent city atmosphere + soundtrack hits hard… and that survivor scene? Oof, my heart already feels heavy 😭😭
Ummm what was actually that ending?😭 a LOT of the scenes here left my jaw dropping, cause what the heck😭 that certain someone definitely did not need to go through that😭🫵🏻 but all in all, I guess it was a pretty good way to wrap the whole thing up. Not in my top anime lists but still a decent watch. 6.5/10 !
omg I was SO STRESSED this whole episode, especially during the baby delivery scenes😭 like what other problems could possibly happen in the already dire situation 😭 but all in all, can’t wait how they wrap the whole thing up!
Finally getting an Aoi focused episode on the first half, and then Haruto’s!! Although the things that happened in this episode (and realistically every other episode as well😭), it was a pretty fun watch! And seeing the characters have some development was really neat as well!
Really thrilling episode! I was honestly on the edge of my seat throughout the whole episode. Lots of action scenes with great tension, and they added even MORE tension with the situations of different characters like Ibuki😭 I feel a really good build up coming, so I hope they don’t mess it up! Plus, that robot animation at the end was really awesome!
Not my fave episode ever, but still pretty solid! Loving the little spotlight scenes they gave for Aoi and especially Taeko when she’s tasked to deliver the baby! Ugh, hope things go well. Can’t wait to see how things turn out!
I gotta say, the Ozu sister’s addition was pretty neat! The new characters before was also nice, but to be completely honest, I can’t tell who is who because the wear the same hazmat suit most of the time😭 so getting characters with new designs was pretty refreshing! And the introduction to Coppelion powers was also pretty dope✨
Haruto sure does add another dash of coolness HAHA so glad they added his character! And also, pretty good pacing for this episode, and the overall plot was also really nice. Love the little community they have going on at the Planet✨
