The timeline in this episode connects with ep1 and is also somewhat connected to the aftermath of the story. Oddly enough there isn't any time skip scene in this episode, it is mostly flashbacks. Seeing this is just part 1, I hope that the other parts shown in this episode gets explained properly since the ending pretty much resolved the primary problem in this episode.P.S.
