Cleavage

Shared history, unspoken feelings, and no one else around give step-siblings a setup that Cleavage leans into without much hesitation. Yuuto and Erika Toudou lost both their parents over the years, and with their father now transferred away for work, they're living together with no buffer between them and the tension that's been building. They grew up as family, but they were never blood related, and that distinction starts to matter more than either of them expected. The 2-episode OVA, produced by Studio 9 Maiami and based on a visual novel, is exactly what it sounds like — explicit content with a layer of emotional backstory underneath. The art comes from Sei Shoujo, whose detailed character work also appears in Bible Black and Discipline, so if you've seen either of those and liked the visual style, this is in the same family. It's not trying to be subtle about what it is, but the setup does invest a little time in who these two people are before things escalate. Think of it as being in the same corner as Starless in terms of tone — adult content first, with just enough narrative framing to give it some context. If you're already a fan of Sei Shoujo's work or the visual novel style of storytelling in this genre, Cleavage is a familiar but competent entry in that space.
