Chu2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Neither of the two stories in this single OVA treats comfort zones as a priority. Chu2 is a 1997 adult anthology from Studio B&M, adapted from manga, and it leans hard into the kind of morally murky territory that late-90s hentai occasionally wandered into when it wanted to be more than just explicit. The first story follows a young woman and the older man she calls 'Papa,' building tension through their hotel encounter while the weight of their dynamic sits quietly in the background. The second shifts gears entirely into fantasy — Hikaru is a man stuck in a woman's body, fighting to protect a goddess named Pamera, though his methods and motivations are far from heroic. Together the two segments cover a lot of ground tonally, from grounded and intimate to strange and otherworldly. If you've watched Cool Devices or La Blue Girl and appreciated how those titles used genre framing to explore uncomfortable psychological territory, this fits that same pocket. It has the grainy warmth of late-90s animation and shares a certain transgressive sensibility with something like Bible Black. At a single episode, it's a short watch, but it's not the kind of thing you put on casually. It has edges, and they're intentional.
