This episode seems as calm as the second one, but suddenly everything becomes slightly unsettling. Hideki has to study for his first practice exams, and it's proving difficult. He gives Chii a gift by sacrificing some study material, which seems like a small gesture in this story, until Chii is left alone reading it. The book is strange, and we finally meet the bunny from the ending theme. Why does Chii react this way? I like the shift in tone this episode takes; it's very unexpected.
