Synopsis
No matter how many times Takashi confesses, his childhood friend Saya refuses to take his feelings seriously — she's known him too long, and his younger sister Mika isn't exactly helping his confidence either. The setup is pretty straightforward: a guy stuck in that frustrating limbo between friendship and something more, living close to people who don't quite see him the way he wants to be seen. Then one night, out of sympathy after another rejected confession, Saya offers him a small consolation — and things escalate well beyond what either of them planned. That one moment cracks open the whole dynamic between them, and the two-episode OVA runs with it from there. The animation from Rabbit Gate is clean and faithful to Goban's original manga artwork, which fans of the source material will appreciate. The character designs are detailed, and the pacing gives the relationships enough space to feel grounded before things get physical. If you've watched something like Aneki no Kounai Kaikinbi or Imouto Paradise and enjoyed the domestic tension angle, this hits a similar note — close quarters, complicated feelings, and a situation that spirals fast. It's a short watch at two episodes, adapted straight from the manga, so there's no padding. Worth it if you're into character-driven adult OVAs where the setup actually does some work before diving in.
