This episode is a necessary stepping stone but it drags in the middle. Watching them trying to put a team together is a classic sports narrative trope and while it’s done well enough here it doesn’t offer anything wildly new. The animation is a bit stiff in the dialogue heavy scenes and Hani's usual fiery energy is dialed back a bit.
