Working at an adult video store, two employees decide to start making their own films — except their cast isn't exactly volunteering. That's the premise of Ryoujoku no Rensa, a 2-episode OVA from 2003 that leans hard into dark, uncomfortable territory from the start. The setup is grimy by design: blackmail, coercion, and a secret room where the duo runs their operation. Then the police get involved — and not to shut things down. That twist is where the story takes its real shape, pulling law enforcement into the moral rot rather than positioning them as any kind of relief. The atmosphere is tight and suspenseful, with a soundtrack that keeps things feeling genuinely tense rather than campy.
