BUNGO STRAY DOGS WAN! 2 HAS NO VOTE THIS WEEK
Synopsis
You know how in Bungou Stray Dogs everyone's constantly trying to kill each other and there's all this heavy existential drama? Now picture those same characters as tiny chibis arguing over who ate the last snack in the break room. That's Bungou Stray Dogs Wan! 2, the second season of the comedy spin-off that strips away the supernatural thriller tension and replaces it with pure slice-of-life absurdity. Atsushi is still anxious about everything, Dazai is still causing problems on purpose, Kunikida is still losing his mind trying to keep everyone in line, but instead of facing deadly ability users, they're dealing with things like office disagreements and awkward run-ins with the Port Mafia over completely mundane stuff. The chibi art style from studio Bones and Nomad gives the whole thing a cozy, low-stakes energy that works surprisingly well as a palate cleanser between the heavier main series arcs. If you've watched the main show and grown attached to these characters, this is where you get to hang out with them when nobody's life is on the line. It's the kind of thing fans of ensemble comedies like Durarara!! or Great Pretender's lighter moments would appreciate: characters you already care about, just being ridiculous together. You don't need to take it seriously. That's the whole point. It's comfort food for BSD fans, and it knows exactly what it is.

Chibi middle school Dazai and Chuya competing over who has the cooler angel wings is exactly the kind of stupid content this show was made for. And the way 10-year-old Atsushi actually believed their brooding nonsense... precious kid deserves the world
Poe grabbing Karl's paws and spinning around when Mushitaro called him Ranpo's friend was the purest thing I've seen this whole season. And then the zebra literally spelling out 'Zebra' with its stripes had me crying. This show is so dumb and I love it.
The way they both sat there reading each other's self-insert light novels in the sunset was so unexpectedly soft. Mori and Rando watching from the doorway like proud dads finished me. Also Rando getting the chills from any cold-themed talk never stops being funny
Edgelord era Soukoku is everything I never knew I needed. Watching grown men voice 14-year-olds arguing about who nullifies whose nullification is pure gold. And little Atsushi thinking they're actual heroes broke me
The Dad-zawa content in this episode was everything. Fukuzawa pulling out a parenting guide for 5-year-olds to raise Ranpo is so on brand for him. And that ending where Atsushi and Kyouka think he has a secret kid LOL. They really saw the book and jumped to conclusions
Dazai holding a bandaged sign to get out of sports day is so typical of him. But honestly seeing the Decay of Angels randomly drop in for a dance battle felt like a fever dream and Karl winning the whole thing at the end made zero sense in the best way possible
Chuuya doing Michael Jackson moves in a chibi spin-off was not on my 2026 bingo card but the animation budget for his footwork was insane
Mamoru Miyano saying Shall we dance battle in that Dazai voice had me dead
I lost my mind seeing Sigma in a baby bonnet and pacifier, but watching Kenji completely ruin Dazai's whole escape room setup by punching through the wall was even better
Kenji putting on wolf ears and saying gao after getting everyone to execute Chuuya is pure evil and adorable at the same time
Chuuya hanging out with the agency for werewolf night was hilarious and Dazai fake dying immediately on turn one was perfect
I lost my mind seeing chibi Sigma wearing a baby bonnet and pacifier just to explain casino age stats. My boy is stressed out of his mind running that place
Sigma's just so cute here! This episode was light and funny, and I couldn't help but imagine them actually doing these scenes in the original series. That would be hilarious! 😭
I laughed so hard because I imagined them actually doing this in the OG series. Sigma's so cute in the second half, though I could really feel his stress. Lmao. I really loved this episode.
Such a light-hearted episode, though a little unhinged and funny, especially the first segment. The new and old Double Black with Kenji was the funniest thing ever. T^T They're so childish, I love them.
doa trio
I lost my mind watching Akutagawa cuddle that tiger kitten and then completely panic when Atsushi walked in
My face hurts from laughing at Akutagawa holding that tiger striped kitten and losing his mind when Atsushi walked in. He really tried to say it was not a kitten.
