Synopsis
A new apartment becomes the unlikely site of a childhood reunion for Wataru — his neighbors turn out to be the Fusono sisters, Tomoka and Fumie, two women he barely remembers from childhood. They remember him just fine, though, and the reunion goes in a direction that's pretty much what you'd expect from a hentai OVA with 'Junkie' in the title. What makes this one work a little better than average is the thin layer of backstory underneath it all. There's a genuine 'I used to know you' dynamic between Wataru and the sisters that gives the setup some texture, even if the show doesn't spend too long dwelling on it before getting to the point. The character designs are detailed and very much the focus — this is clearly made for fans who know what they're signing up for. It's a four-episode OVA from 2005 by T-Rex, adapted from a visual novel, so the pacing is relaxed and each episode feels fairly self-contained. If you liked Cafe Junkie or Mrs. Junkie and you're already familiar with that corner of the genre, this fits right in with that lineup. It shares similar DNA with Bakunyuu Oyako as well — emphasis on figure-focused designs and low-stakes slice-of-life framing around the adult content. It's not trying to be anything more than what it is, and if that's what you're looking for, it delivers on its premise without much fuss.
