Boku to Nurse no Kenshuu Nisshi The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Everything Takuya has worked toward his entire life comes down to this moment, and on his first day as a medical intern, the first person he runs into is Mio, his childhood friend he hasn't seen in years. She's a nurse at the same hospital now, and she's been assigned to show him the ropes. It's already a lot to process before anything else happens. Then Takuya takes a fall down the stairs while trying to protect her, breaks his arm and leg, and suddenly the guy training to be a doctor is stuck as a patient in Mio's ward. She feels responsible, and that guilt pulls them closer in ways that go well beyond standard bedside manner. The hospital setting actually adds something here — there's a specific kind of intimacy that comes from that environment, and the animation from Studio 1st leans into the character dynamics with more attention to detail than you'd expect from a single-episode OVA. The emotional setup between Takuya and Mio gives the story a real foundation before anything else unfolds. If you've seen Boku to Joi no Shinsatsu Nisshi The Animation and enjoyed the medical-adjacent framing, this hits a similar note. It's a short watch, adapted from a visual novel, so don't expect a slow burn — the setup moves quickly and the childhood-friends angle does the heavy lifting on emotional context.
