📖 SYNOPSIS

Botchan, a recent graduate, embarks on his first teaching assignment, unprepared for the challenges ahead. He encounters students who constantly spy on him and play pranks, along with a landlord persistently trying to sell him worthless antiques. Seeking solace, Botchan goes fishing, but suspects his only friend, Hotta, is the source of his problems. A faculty meeting to address the students' behavior results in surprisingly lenient punishments. However, Botchan's suspected adversary defends him, raising questions about the other faculty members' honesty. As evidence of the dean's questionable activities emerges, Botchan and Hotta must join forces to expose the dean's scandalous schemes. The story explores themes of deception, friendship, and the trials of navigating a new environment.
