Despite this being a start to the filler arc, I lowkey enjoyed this more than the canon material we've been getting recently since it feels like there'll be purpose and some sort of overarching thing for the next little while. Like, half of the episode felt useless and pointless, but then we started getting into the new conflict and I'm curious. The bad guys are rather goofy, but maybe they'll be exciting (more exciting than the training arc anyway). Looks promising for something that's not going to hold weight in the story overall.
