Bitch Gakuen ga Seijun na Hazu ga Nai!!? The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Transferring into a prestigious all-girls academy with a reputation for strict discipline and spotless conduct is where Haruka Shinozaki finds himself. On paper, it sounds like the worst possible placement for him. In practice, the school's polished exterior hides something a lot messier underneath — and Haruka starts figuring that out pretty quickly once he meets Akiho Kosaka, the buttoned-up class representative, and Mika Inamori, the energetic student council secretary. Both carry that 'model student' energy right up until they don't. This 2-episode OVA is adapted from a visual novel by onomatope*Raspberry, with character designs by Hinamatsuri Touko, and it leans into that source material's mix of comedy and slow-burn character dynamics before things get explicit. The setup is essentially a 'nothing is what it seems at this school' premise, which gives it a bit more texture than you'd expect going in. If you've seen Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo and enjoyed the harem-in-a-contained-setting format, this hits a similar note. Fans of My Girlfriend is Shobitch will also recognize the rhythm of a straight-laced female character whose composure cracks in entertaining ways. It's a short watch at two episodes, the production from Anime Antenna Iinkai is clean, and if you're already into the genre, the visual novel roots give the characters slightly more personality than average. Niche content, but it delivers exactly what it's going for.
