Bible Black Only

Anyone curious about the side characters lurking in the background of the original Bible Black will find this two-episode OVA digs into exactly that. Bible Black Only is a companion piece set in the same dark, supernaturally charged universe — but instead of following the main story, it pulls focus onto the supporting cast and what they've been up to behind the scenes. Miss Takashiro walks through her own traumatic encounter with demonic forces, Itoh gets space to explore a sadistic side the main series only hinted at, and Saeki finds herself in a deeply uncomfortable situation with classmates who aren't keeping their obsessions hidden. None of it connects to the main continuity, so these are self-contained stories with room to breathe on their own terms. Part of the appeal here is that it includes footage previously locked to the Japanese R2 Bible Black Perfect Collection DVD release, so if you've already watched the original series, there's genuinely new material. The tone is explicit and leans into the supernatural horror elements the franchise is known for. If you've watched something like La Blue Girl or Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend and you're comfortable with that territory, this fits right into that lineage — dark, occult-tinged, and not interested in pulling punches. It's a short watch at two episodes, but it rewards fans of the original series who wanted more context around characters who didn't get much screen time.
