📖 SYNOPSIS

The anime depicts the tragic history of Izumo, a planet locked in a cyclical struggle against the Kami, demonic beasts descending from the celestial realm of Takamagahara. Facing annihilation, Izumo's inhabitants embark on a desperate Kami-slaying journey, forging the first Edict Edge to combat the "Sovereign of Revelation." Wielders of these blades gain divine power, allowing them to fight the Kami and save the masses. Through immense sacrifice, they forge twelve Sentinels and build a technologically advanced civilization. However, their history abruptly ends, vanishing into nothingness. The cause of their disappearance remains a mystery, with theories ranging from cosmic experiments to the return of the Voracity, leaving only the silent, pitch-black sun to hold the answers to Izumo's eternal recurrence.
