Beast City

In futuristic Tokyo, a quiet apartment shared by three vampire women gets turned upside down when demonic creatures called beasts start tearing through the city's population. Mina, a 19-year-old descended from the Draculon lineage, ends up on the front lines of a war that's been simmering between vampires and beasts for a long time — and things get complicated fast when a mysterious new woman shows up at her college. She's the daughter of some wealthy industrialist, polished and charming on the surface, but every man who gets close to her ends up destroyed. When she sets her sights on someone Mina actually cares about, staying out of it stops being an option. Beast City is a 3-episode OVA from 1996 that leans hard into the horror-erotica blend that defined a lot of late-night anime from that era. The futuristic Tokyo setting gives it a grimy, neon-soaked atmosphere that fans of Wicked City or Demon City Shinjuku will recognize immediately — that same sense of a city rotting underneath its polished surface. If you've seen Vampire Hunter D and wanted something with more of an erotic horror edge and female leads driving the story, this sits comfortably in that neighborhood. It's dark, pulpy, and doesn't apologize for what it is. Go in knowing the tone and you'll get exactly what it promises.
