Ash and Eiji reunited, and Ash slowly stop pushing Eiji away. It was wholesome, especially since Ash seemed to meet his match in prowess. The OST at the beginning make Ash and Eiji moment felt mellow, serene even. The reveal near the end, and his words seemed like a foreshadow.
