Synopsis
Hoping distance would quiet his feelings for his younger sister, Hana, Yuuichi Mitsui enrolled at a university far from home. Distance was supposed to fix things. It didn't. Then she shows up at his door one summer morning, looking more grown-up than he remembered, and suddenly all that careful separation means nothing. The twist that makes this more than a straightforward forbidden romance setup: Hana is physically mature but mentally childlike, which puts Yuuichi in a genuinely uncomfortable position. He knows better, he feels guilty, and yet here they are, stuck together for the summer. That internal tug-of-war, wanting something and knowing you shouldn't, gives the early episodes a tension that goes beyond the obvious. The character work leans into the contrast between Hana's appearance and her innocence, and the show doesn't shy away from making Yuuichi feel the weight of that conflict. If you've seen Boku wa Imōto ni Koi o Suru and wanted something that leans more explicitly into the adult side of that forbidden dynamic, this covers similar emotional territory with less restraint. Fans of Imouto Paradise! will also find familiar ground here in terms of setup and tone. It's a 4-episode OVA adapted from a visual novel, so it moves quickly and keeps its focus tight. Go in knowing what it is, this is a mature title that doesn't pretend otherwise.

bleach_bankai_459★★★★☆EP 1Summer heat and a small room is just a recipe for disaster and Yuuichi is clearly losing his mind trying to stay a decent brother
navi★★★☆☆EP 1I found the whole premise a bit weird because she acts like such a kid, but the art style is actually pretty impressive for this kind of show
kiawe★★★★☆EP 1Hana showing up at his door like that was such a curveball and her being so clueless about everything makes the whole situation feel way more intense
kushina_kunoichi★★★☆☆EP 1The way she looks after all that time apart definitely explains why Yuuichi is struggling so hard to keep his distance from her in this episode
groudon★★★☆☆EP 1That ending makes it clear that Hana is the one running the show and her brother does not stand a chance against that act she puts on
penny★★★☆☆EP 1I really did not expect the animation to look this good for a short and Hana is just way too much for Yuuichi to handle alone in that tiny apartment
bazardo_blast_484★★★★☆EP 1Yuuichi trying to hold back while his sister throws herself at him creates so much tension and the visuals really sell that struggle
almighty_yhwach★★☆☆☆EP 1The transition text suggesting she understands everything makes the whole episode feel different, since it turns the exploitation angle on its head.
bambietta_boom★★★☆☆EP 1Hana being physically grown but acting so young is a really uncomfortable dynamic and it makes the explicit stuff feel way more intense
tengen_tempo_131★★★★☆EP 1The milk scene finally happening was a highlight for me since the art quality is just leagues above anything else lately
luck_lightning★★☆☆☆EP 1It is pretty messed up how Yuuichi moved away just for Hana to show up and start acting like a child to get close to him again
cwunched★★★★☆EP 1The visuals in this episode are actually impressive and the way Hana acts makes you wonder if she is really that dense or just playing him for a fool
romani_274★★★☆☆EP 1I really think Hana knows exactly what she is doing to her brother and her innocence is just a front to get what she wants from him
momo_creati★★★★☆EP 1Detailed character designs were surprising and the animation quality is way higher than most other series in the genre
roy_mustang_116★★★☆☆EP 1I really went into this thinking it was just going to be another standard sibling story but the dynamic between Yuuichi and Hana is actually pretty weirdly complex. The animation is incredible especially in the milk scene and my mind keeps going back to those translations that say she is faking being dumb because it changes the whole perspective on who is actually in control.
iris_cannary_171★★★★☆EP 1watching him struggle with his guilt the second he saw her on his doorstep was intense and the character designs are actually super sharp
yurei_yamato★★★☆☆EP 1I couldn't stop thinking about that kitchen scene because her being that oblivious while he was getting so flustered was just too much
blastoise_303★★★☆☆EP 1the way she kept asking about the milk was so dumb but the art made that whole kitchen scene look really good
adachigahara_ace_11★★★☆☆EP 1hana showing up at the door looking that different was such a shock and her acting like a total airhead immediately made things so awkward for him
