📖 SYNOPSIS

In the desolate landscape of Asran, photojournalist Makoto Shinjou documents the lives of mercenaries at Area 88, a remote airbase. Among them is Shin Kazama, a Japanese pilot ensnared by a treacherous plot orchestrated by his former friend. Shin is now bound to the mercenary group, forced to fly dangerous missions against the kingdom's enemies. He yearns to escape and reclaim his life as an airline pilot, and to be with his fiancée, Ryoko. Shin's only paths to freedom are to survive three years of service, accumulate US$1.5 million, or risk death by desertion. The series explores themes of betrayal, survival, and the human cost of war within the harsh realities of Area 88.
