Apocalypse Hotel
Oshimeter
Synopsis
In the heart of Ginza, Tokyo, there's a five-star hotel, pristine lobbies, immaculate service, robots ready to cater to your every need. Now picture it a hundred years after every human left Earth because the air became literal poison. That's Apocalypse Hotel. Yachiyo is a gynoid concierge who still runs the Gingarou Hotel like guests could walk through the door any minute, even though her robot staff keeps breaking down with no one around to fix them. She dusts, she organizes, she maintains standards for an audience of zero. It's equal parts funny and quietly heartbreaking, watching these machines perform hospitality rituals for nobody, holding onto purpose through sheer routine. Then, after a century of emptiness, something actually shows up. Not human, but a visitor nonetheless, and that's where things get interesting. The comedy hits in that dry, situational way where the absurdity of the premise does the heavy lifting. Robots arguing about room service protocols for nonexistent guests, that kind of thing. But underneath the humor there's a real thread about what it means to keep going when your entire reason for existing has vanished. If you liked the emotional weight of Planetarian or the quiet robot philosophy of Time of Eve, this is in that neighborhood, just with more laughs and a post-apocalyptic coat of paint. CygamesPictures handles production across 12 episodes, with Izumi Takemoto's character designs giving it a distinct, slightly retro look that fits the mood perfectly.

Huh? What kind of an ending was that? I am not satisfied with the ending to be very honest. But I still loved this anime. I am going to miss it.
Finally! This episode gave a deep insight into Yachiyo's mind. It felt like a fairytale.
I felt so bad for both of them it was an emotional episode. Tamako is making me mad. I like children but not children who create unnecessary chaos. Why is no one saying anything to her?
Waaa! This episode was an absolute roller coaster of emotions. It had so many emotions. I absolutely adore Grandma Mujina. And what was the groom wearing? Hahahahaha
This episode was funny and wholesome. Yachiyo looked like baddie in her new avatar. And then everything went back to the same thing again.
This episode was really amazing. Ponko annoys me some times but I still think that she is a very great character. I hope the ending is not what was shown.
This episode was so cutesy and wholesome. I wad rooting for them. I'm already looking forward to the next episode.
I'm so happy that the Tanukians are finally getting their life together. Seeing all of them working together makes me happy and I am also feeling bad for that pink tentacle.
That thing freaked me out so bad. Ponko is like a tiny hero. She's so cute. I was scared there for a second when she was hiding under that table!!!
Lol!!! This episode was so funny and chaotic. I almost believed them at the starting of the episode.
I have learned something watching this. You don't need an audience to matter. Yachiyo kept the lights on for 150 years with no guests. She made beds no one slept in. Polished floors no one walked on. She did it because the work itself mattered.
This episode is not about aliens or robots. it is about choosing to stay, to serve and to love. Even when no one's watching.
I laughed and then I felt guilty when ponko put a shampoo hat on a corpse.
Grandma Mujina is a big flex even after death. it is funny how she made everyone to laugh and grief at the same time.
It melts my heart when i saw a 50 foot statue of yachiyo that was built by ponko. Some people show love by building monuments.
Ponko built a rocket because she was very scared. It is amazing, and also the most human thing in this whole show because fear made her do something extreme.
Harmy wanted to destroy Earth. But no humans left. So he just didn't. I love it when he carried her in his kangaroo pouch and fought with the aliens.
The tanukis are always drinking, it is funny how they got drunk and danced in the lobby.
Ponko dragging yachiyo when her battery ran out. Honestly that is the kind of friend I want, the one who carries you when you are down.
The Tanukis toilet humor is very hilarious. Honestly, they came prepared to make up for the years without guests.
