📖 SYNOPSIS

This anime tells the true story of Anne Frank, a young Jewish girl living in Amsterdam during World War II. Fearing the Nazi threat, Anne's father hides his family – his wife Edith, and daughters Margo and Anne – along with four others in a secret annex. For two years, the eight individuals live in constant fear of discovery, their lives confined to whispers and darkness. During this time, Anne, then thirteen, chronicles their daily struggles in a diary. She details her complex relationship with her mother, her first love for Peter, a young boy also in hiding, and her yearning for freedom. Anne writes of her dreams to experience the outside world, to breathe fresh air and see flowers, longing for the day they can finally be free.
