Anehame: Ore no Hatsukoi ga Jisshi na Wake ga Nai
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Akira's feelings for his classmate Nana Shirayuki sit at the center of this story — sweet, simple, the kind of thing that happens in high school. He's building up the nerve to confess when his older sister Rio suddenly moves back home, and that's where things get complicated. Rio looks a lot like Nana. More than a little, actually. And that resemblance starts pulling at something Akira wasn't prepared to examine too closely. What exactly is he feeling for Nana, and how much of it has to do with his sister? This 2-episode OVA from studio BreakBottle doesn't rush past that question — it uses the setup to dig into the emotional messiness of figuring out where your feelings actually come from. The character work is surprisingly specific, and the animation holds up well for what it is. If you watched Yosuga no Sora and appreciated how it committed to uncomfortable emotional territory rather than flinching away, this covers similar ground. Fans of Koi Kaze will also recognize the tone — relationships that sit in genuinely awkward spaces without easy resolution. It's a short watch, adapted from a light novel, so it moves fast, but the core dynamic between Akira, Nana, and Rio is drawn clearly enough to land. Going in knowing it's an OVA helps — this isn't a slow burn series, it's a focused snapshot of one guy's emotional unraveling dressed up as a romance.
