Synopsis
Hidden under the chapel of the prestigious St. Cecilia Academy, a newly appointed teacher named Akio discovers something that probably should have stayed sealed — a violin called Cannone, locked away in a hidden torture chamber. The moment he finds it, he's hooked. Not just impressed, actually hooked, like the thing has a grip on him. Meanwhile, a separate violin named Ceillia — forged by angels specifically to counter Cannone — quietly selects a girl on campus to carry out its mission and keep Cannone from getting loose again. So you've got a teacher being slowly pulled toward something dangerous, and a student unknowingly drafted into a supernatural conflict she didn't ask for, all set inside a gothic academy with a very dark basement. The vibe is heavy on atmosphere — think shadowy corridors, religious imagery twisted into something unsettling, and that specific tension where you can feel things going wrong before anything obvious happens. If you've watched Bible Black or Discipline: The Record of a Crusade and appreciated how those lean into dark, oppressive settings with actual narrative stakes, this hits a similar note. It's a two-episode OVA from 2005 adapted from a CLOCKUP visual novel, so it's short and focused. The story doesn't overstay its welcome, and the central conflict between temptation and duty carries enough weight to make it feel like more than just setup.
