Episode 5 is a slight improvement over the last few episodes. The royal family's arrival gives the story a direction, and Charlotte's emotional investment in her brother's well-being is genuinely touching. The animation is still weak, and Haruto is still boring, but the show is starting to use his apathy as a character trait rather than just a joke.
