Akuemon

📖 SYNOPSIS

Hidari Taisho, seeking to conquer the country, is instructed by a fortuneteller to eliminate 1000 foxes. Akuemon, universally disliked, is employed for the task. In response, the foxes devise a plan, sending a female fox to Akuemon's home, disguised as his wife. The story centers on the evolving relationship between Akuemon, who has never experienced love, and the female fox. She, despite her sorrow over the deaths of her comrades, slowly discovers genuine affection for Akuemon. This animated adaptation is the sixth installment in "The Lion Books" series and marks Tezuka Makoto's, Tezuka's older son, debut in animating his father's original work.
