AJIN GA OSUKI NAN DESU NE HAS NO VOTE THIS WEEK
Synopsis
Set in a near-future world where humans and animals coexist so closely, half-human hybrids called Ajin have become part of everyday society. Maya is a goat-human hybrid living in a mansion under the care of her owner, Christophe. She's got a routine she keeps private, shaving the fur on her lower body because she's convinced it would gross people out. Then one evening Christophe walks in on her mid-shave, and instead of the rejection she's bracing for, things go in a completely different direction. He's not just accepting of it, he's genuinely curious, and what follows is an unexpectedly tender shift in their dynamic. The whole setup is about the gap between how these Ajin see themselves and how the people closest to them actually feel. It's a hentai OVA from Blue bread studio, adapted from a manga, and the tone leans more into slow intimacy and self-acceptance than you might expect from the genre. There's a gentleness to how it handles Maya's insecurity that gives the scenes some actual weight. If you've watched stuff like Tayu Tayu or Kuroinu and wanted something with a slightly different flavor: less fantasy warfare, more personal and character-driven, this sits in that space. The human-animal hybrid angle adds a layer of novelty that keeps it from feeling like just another entry in the genre. Worth a look if the premise clicks with you.

the fansubs i found had some pretty bad grammar mistakes and i hope they fix that for the next episode
that opening song by flumpool is really good and fits the dark atmosphere of the show perfectly
the animation looks like an old video game and it makes the characters look so robotic whenever they move around
i was totally caught off guard when that truck hit kei and he just stood right back up like nothing happened
the cgi is kind of weird and stiff but the story about these immortal beings has me curious enough to keep going
Being hunted by the entire world just for surviving a death that should have been final is a nightmare scenario. Kai coming to the rescue was the only hopeful part of this whole episode
The frame rate feels a bit choppy at times but the story is so gripping that it barely matters. That truck driver really needs to put his phone away before he causes even more problems
It is pretty rare to see a show go this dark immediately, and the reveal of the black ghosts makes the mystery even better. Kei seems way more interesting than your average main character.
The way everyone just turned on Kei the second he survived that truck crash was so hard to watch, especially because he was just a normal student trying to become a doctor. I was not expecting the truck driver to be the one who started this whole mess by being distracted. The lore about the immortal Ajin and those invisible ghosts seems really deep.
The way the government treats these people like test subjects is terrifying. It really sets a dark tone for whatever is going to happen to Kei now that he is on the run
Some people hate the 3d art style but it makes the movements look really eerie and unsettling during the accident. The sound of his bones snapping and then fixing themselves was genuinely gross
The cgi is definitely a choice but it actually works for the weird vibe of those black ghost things. That scene with the truck had such a grim energy that stuck in my head for hours
