Yankee Hamster!

Yankee Hamster! is a tiny comedy about pet hamsters who act like hard-boiled Japanese delinquents. The pompadoured Regent, the airheaded Mohawk, and their sharp-tongued junior Kohai swagger around their cage-sized world, treating everyday pet problems like gang turf disputes. In the first couple of one-minute shorts, they refuse to go home and then argue over who gets called banchou, which is a lot of attitude for animals whose biggest threat is probably a clean water bottle. The joke is the gap between their grand rebel self-image and the fact that they are adorable, fluffy, and roughly the size of a snack. Piso Studio keeps the 2D animation simple and stylized, letting the deadpan banter and exaggerated yankee poses carry each quick sketch. It is fast, absurd, and affectionate rather than mean, so the delinquent parody feels like a goofy pet video with a pompadour. If you liked Bananya, this has the same cute-creature sketch energy. Fans of I, Tsushima will recognize the deadpan cat-like attitude transplanted to hamsters. And if Pop Team Epic's short, absurd bursts work for you, the one-minute format here is a similar quick hit. It is a 2026 ONA, so expect bite-sized episodes rather than a long story.
