Welsh & Shedar
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Welsh is a 16-year-old cook in the village of Brassica, happy with bread, market stalls, and Mama Caroni's kitchen. Then a dragon named Asalar, tied to the Ebony Dofus, attacks, and his quiet life gets tangled up with royal politics and ancient artifacts. The Dofus are godlike objects, and Queen Zabelle of Bonta is collecting their power to conquer the world. Her son Shedar, a calm young prince, starts questioning that plan. Welsh meets the veteran hero Joris, his childhood friend Béchamel joins in, and the show sets up a coming-of-age quest full of prophecy, dragons, and a cruel despot to stop. The vibe is cozy village cooking on one side and high-fantasy intrigue on the other, with food woven into the identity: early episodes are named after dishes, and the ending theme is called "Omelette." If you liked Wakfu for its Ankama world, or Delicious in Dungeon for fantasy plus food, this sits in that overlap. Fans of Dofus: Book I - Julith will recognize the lore and characters like Joris. It is a 12-episode TV series from Studio Massket, and the first couple of episodes do a good job balancing warm kitchen scenes with an ominous threat.

The dream sequence with Daldon-Dakal and Shedar falling apart before they can touch got me way more than I expected. Two kids reaching for each other and just missing. That is the whole show in one image
Chewing the medicine and passing it mouth to mouth was a lot. Beshamel screaming Welsh's name while he coughs blood got me more than the dragon did
