Synopsis
Koyuki Higawa has built a wall around herself, not out of malice, but because dealing with people just doesn't come naturally. She's the kind of student who eats lunch alone and has perfected the art of avoiding eye contact in the hallway. Then Minato Amamiya shows up and apparently never learned what personal boundaries are. He just keeps showing up, keeps talking to her, keeps closing that distance she's worked so hard to maintain. Through Minato, Koyuki gets pulled into the orbit of Miki, the effortlessly popular girl everyone gravitates toward, and Youta, a laid-back basketball player who's genuinely kind without making a big deal about it. What starts as an awkward loner slowly thawing out turns into a tangled four-way dynamic where feelings don't line up neatly and nobody quite knows where they stand with each other. Studio KAI is adapting this from a web manga that already has a pretty devoted following, and the comedic-romantic tone hits that sweet spot between funny and genuinely tender. If you liked the slow emotional thaw of Kimi ni Todoke, the messy love polygon energy of Toradora!, or the natural character chemistry of Horimiya, this one's going to feel right at home. It's a TV series about the clumsy, complicated part of youth where every interaction feels like it means something, because at that age, it kind of does.

Great episod. Setiap dialog dan monolog terasa engaging, perkembangan emosional para karakternya terasa lebih kuat. Ternyata tingkah laku Momoka justru membuat Koyuki semakin sadar akan perasaannya kepada Minato, dan aku sangat suka itu. Namun, yang lebih membuatku penasaran adalah Miki. Aku penasaran bagaimana perkembangan baru ini akan memengaruhi hubungannya dengan Yota.

The misunderstanding is so frustrating. And it really ends on a cliffhanger. But that is what makes this series is so exciting and engaging. Overall, a great build up to something even bigger on the next season.
The misunderstandings between Koyuki and Minato is quite funny but also frustrating. And Yota is really a great friend. Furthermore, the interactions between the classmates are heartwarming. Overall, the plot reached its peak in this episode.

The creator's second title after Opposites shares only its school setting with the previous work. This time, the story revolves around four main characters who form the very core of the narrative. At first glance, it may seem like a typical high school love quadrangle, but it quickly proves to be anything but. Each member of the cast is compelling in their own way, though Koyun stands out above the rest. She's an exceptionally well-written character who, in a way, reminds me of Maomao—not because they're alike as people, but because they exude a similarly captivating aura. Beyond that, they're fundamentally different characters. I also absolutely love the art style, as well as the balance between serious storytelling and well-timed comedic moments.
The episode was great—a feel-good episode with some deep conversations and warm, wholesome support. It also had many meme-worthy moments. Overall — surprise confession, 10/10.
