Little Mouse's Red Vest Season 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Nezumi-kun is a tiny mouse in a red vest, and his first big idea of the new season is a trade. He offers Duck a balloon, and because his vest fits nobody but him, the swap snowballs into a chain of small, affectionate mix-ups. That's the whole engine of the show: a spare, pencil-sketch world of friendly animals working through everyday problems like sharing, noticing how someone else feels, and finding a silly way out of a knot. Episode two turns shiritori into a parade of new animal friends, each word pulling another one into the frame. It's a five-minute picture-book show, so don't come in expecting stakes. Come in for the texture: Creadom8's CG that keeps the source books' soft monochrome look and bold empty space, a theme song from Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, and Kenjiro Tsuda and Mamiko Noto voicing basically the entire cast, which gives it the feel of someone reading to you. It's calm, lightly absurd, and genuinely gentle without being saccharine. If you liked the quiet stop-motion rhythm of Pui Pui Molcar, or the tiny-vignette charm of Odekake Kozame, this sits right beside them. Pingu in the City fans will recognize the format too.
